Witness at the Pentagon, December 29, 2006
during the Feast of the Holy Innocents Faith and Resistance Retreat

Early in the morning about 30 people through the Pentagon parking lot carrying banners, drumming and handing out books. They walked to the Metro Entrance of the Pentagon. The banners read, "The Massacre Continues, Our Hands are Full of Blood, There are no Innocent Bystanders," "The U.S. is the world's #1 Terrorist. Disarm Now."

At the Pentagon in front of the Metro Entrance, they read from scripture, gave out about 20 "Collateral Damage" books, and read New Year's Resolutions.

Collateral Damage: Photographs of the Iraqi People. Photographs by George Sapio, Text by George Sapio and Maura Stephens. The books were donated by the authors to be given to the workers at the Pentagon.

Three people were arrested as they gave out the Collateral Damage books to employees and others passing by: Bill Frankel Streit, Susan Crane and Jay McGinley. Emily Harry, who was not giving out the Collateral Damage books, was arrested on the grass in the designated "free speech zone."

16. End the barbaric practice of torturing people.
17. Use our resources for human needs.
18. Restore Habeas Corpus and Due Process.
19. Disband the Military, Close the Pentagon.
20. Build Bridges instead of Walls.
21. Chose the Rule of Love over the Rule of Law.
22. Beat Swords into Plowshares, Spears into Pruning Hooks, Study War No More.
