Elmer Maas, Presente!

August 29, 1935- May 8, 2005
Professor, Maestro, Friend.
Known and loved by every plowshares activist who spoke their truth before a judge.
Elmer was there for each and every one as we prepared for disarmament actions.  His wisdom, his understanding of the law, his knowledge of the nuclear weapons systems was unsurpassed. He never missed a trial, and was ready with a word of advice--another tactic to engage recalcitrant courts.  Elmer was generous with his time, was always ready to cook a meal and talk to those preparing for Plowshares witnesses.
