Robert E. Blackburn
U.S. District Court Judge District of Colorado

Regarding Court Order No. 02-cr-00509-REB
We address you regarding the communication of Mr. Gary Phillips. From the very beginning we attempted sincerely and seriously to comply with your judgment of restitution. We feel that we have successfully responded by complying with the amount of money you designated in the sentence, with the prosecutor that the restitution go directly to the Air Force and according to our consciences and religious vows.
Our community service in the collection of food products was highly successful. When in Colorado we collected about $4,000-$6,000 of food and have no idea what amount was sent to the U.S. Attorney's office.
There have been no flagrant violations to our supervised release. In fact, we intentionally have kept all of the tenets and complied with all the elements of probation other than the two trips to Colorado to settle the restitution issue. Our probation officers were notified , contact numbers given, and visits with Mr. Phillip's on both occasions.
We do not have lawyers to assist us in the legal matters of the court at this time.
We ask you to order that we have completed the restitution and successful termination of supervised release.
Sincerely, Carol Gilbert, OP Ardeth Platte, OP Jackie Hudson, OP
