On Thursday, June 26, 2008, two Ploughshares activists were arrested inside SAAB Microwave in Sweeden.
Using blacksmith hammers, Ulla Roder and Per Herngren started to disarm military radar at SAAB Microwave's test range at Mölndal and planted fig trees in the area around the factory. .

" The word of the prophet Micah makes us move", explained Ulla Røder.  "We beat SWORDS INTO PLOUGHSHARES. We do not protest against Microwave's missile firing system or the radar system of war. We choose to drop the protest as it became reactive and negative.  The time has come to interfere and become positively creative."

"We do have the ability of direct intervention", Ulla Røder believes. "It becomes a duty when there is
violence and suffering in the world. We use non-violence. Contrary to my friend Per, I do believe
that we are not practicing civil disobedience, but upholding International law. It is SAAB Microwave who
breaks the law when delivering the missile firing system used during the war in Iraq.

Ulla Røder
Ulla Røder, 53 years old from Denmark disarmed a test laboratory for the nuclear submarine Trident system at
Loch Goil, Scotland in 1999 together with the Trident Three Ploughshares group. They won the trial. In the
week before the war on Iraq in 2003 Ulla disarmed a Tornado jet going to be used for the attack on
civilians in Iraq. Ulla has spent more than a year on remand in prison for these actions and other
non-violent direct actions.
Per Herngren
Per Herngren has served 15 months of a prison sentence of eight years in the USA;  together with 7
others they disarmed Pershing II nuclear missile 1984.
During the first war on Iraq 1991 he disarmed two Carl Gustaf grenades riffle at FFV, Eskilstuna. . He is 46 years old and lives in Hammarkullen in Sweden and works as a writer. His books have been published into the language of Swedish, Polish, and English. 
The Ploughshare Movement
The Ploughshare Movement has since 1980 disarmed hundreds of weapons, aero planes and helicopters used
for the wars of the western world in third world countries, nuclear weapons and Trident submarines.
According to the estimated and not scientific account of Per Herngren the Ploughshare movement has with
their blacksmith hammers disarmed more explosives than were used during all wars from the Stone Age till today. Catholic nuns and priests' took part in the first Ploughshares group. Today all take part from Atheists and Agnostics' to Buddhists.
