What kind of society could call these women criminals?

Betsy, Shirley, and Alice are serving sentences for the SOA protest.  Ardeth is now into her 20th month of a 41 month prison sentence for her Plowshares witness. These women and others at the prison who chose to join gather at the prison everyday for prayer and are a powerful resource to the women in the prison. Ardeth and Carol Gilbert were both given letters of mission to prison ministry by their congregations.
