Mike and Eda Uca-Dorn Participate in No War No Warming CampaignMike's Sentencing Statement in Superior CourtEda and Mike Uca-Dorn of Jonah House participated in the recent (October 22) No War No Warming action to blockade the Capitol and stop business-as-usual in demand for an end to all war and an immediate response to the impending climate crises. Mike and Eda, playing Blackwater employees protecting first an Exxon oil derrick and then later an Exxon executive, worked with an affinity group of about 15 activists from Baltimore and D.C., including two Iraq Veterans Against the War. They were among 60 arrested for unlawful assembly and incommoding and will witness against as a part of the No War No Warming campaign on November 15th in D.C. Superior Court. They continue to pray that the people of all nations—but this nation in particular—rise up, make all war unacceptable, end the threat of resource wars (for oil and other finite resources), and push for a restructuring of the energy infrastructure and a restructuring of our current unsustainable consumption habits.
