Four Peace Activists told they face federal charges


June 15 Trial for Plowshares Mary Kelly
In January 2003, Mary sucessfully decommissioned a US war plane which was parked on the tarmac at Ireland's Shannon airport. The USA uses Shannon airport as refuelling, etc base. This monster was en route to bomb the people of Iraq at the time of Mary's action.
    Ramsey Clark (Former US Attorney General) will travel to Ireland to support peace activist Mary Kelly during her retrial which is to begin in Ennis, County Clare in Ireland on 15th June. The trial is expected to last at least one week.

Six Peace Activists Arrested At Sub Christening

Groton - Six people were arrested after a group of between 30 and 40 demonstrators marched from Fort Griswold Battlefield State Park to the Electric Boat main gate Saturday morning to protest the christening of the newest nuclear submarine.


On May 21, 2004, Camilo Mejía was convicted of desertion. He was then sentenced to one year in prison and a bad conduct discharge. His conviction and sentence are being appealed. He has been declared a prisoner of conscience by Amnesty International.Find out how to help him and how to write to him. (more)
